Acrobat XI hijacks Default PDF Viewer

I have Adobe Acrobat XI and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC installed in a Citrix XenDesktop 7.6 environment running on Windows Server 2012 R2.  Every time an update for Acrobat is installed, Acrobat forces itself as the default PDF application.  Acrobat was installed first, then Reader.  During Reader installation, Reader was chosen as the default PDF application.  Because of this broken behavior I am forced to repair the Reader DC installation every time an update installs for Acrobat, which is unacceptable.  I need to be able to force Reader DC to always be the default.  I cannot expect users to go manually set their defaults every time this happens.

Hi rekkanoryo,

Please set default PDF handler, open Reader DC, navigate to Edit menu -> Preferences -> General categories and then click on "Select As Default PDF Handler".

This is not an acceptable solution.  I require a way, as an administrator, to forcibly and permanently set this for all users.  I cannot expect my users to go set their defaults every time an Acrobat XI patch is installed.
