Hi,

In my testing for pushing out the Adobe 10.1.2 update using SCUP, I had something that had never happened previously.  When the update ran, I got a message from the windows "Interactive Services Detection" stating "A program on this computer is trying to display a message"  the detailed info say that the program c:\windows\installer\msia908.tmp is sending the message. Also listed "This problem occurs when a progam is not fully compatible with Windows".

It was also trying to for Outlook closed and gave info messages in the event viewer about IE.

Any ideas?

Hi,

What are you trying to push Adobe Reader 10.1.2 or Adobe Acrobat 10.1.2 ? (There's no product called Adobe 10.1.2)

I have tested pushing both Reader and Acrobat 10.1.2, and have never seen this message occuring. Can you answer few of my queries ?

1. Did you see this message only in one machine ?

2. What's the OS version of the client machine you tried ?

3. On the same machine, if you double click and install the patch, do you still see the same set of errors ?

4. So once you got the message, was the update successful ?

5. Can you try testing SCUP on other machines as well and see if you can the same errors ?
