Adobe 10 X install fails

I am trying to install an Enterprise version of Acrobat X Pro on my Win XP 32-bit desktop and keep getting the same error:

"This application cannot be installed on this operating system. Setup will now terminate. Please refer to the minimum system requirements at http://www.adobe.com/go/acrobat system reqs."

My processor is Intel (R) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU, E8400@3.00 GHz, 2.99 GHz, 3.50 GB RAM. Wom XP 32-bit OS running Service Pack 3. i have an 80 GB hard drive with 49.7 GB of free space.

Am I missing something? I have checked the specs and it appears it should work fine.

Thats' really odd. How are you trying to install? Double clicking on the setup.exe or through some command line? Can you please check the system information of your machine: Go to 'Run->Cmd' and type 'Systeminfo' and then 'Enter'. What's the value for: OS Version/OS Name? Also try repairing the Windows and see if this problem gets resolved!

Have the same problem. Software was purchased online and downloaded from Adobe's website to desktop. Tried installing Acrobat X Standard on a Windows XP Pro w/ SP3 (also with Virus Scanner Software Disabled) and this error comes up as soon as I attempt to open the installation file. The computer meets the Acrobat X System requirements listed on Adobe's website. Any other reason why this is happening?

Can you please post a screenshot of the System Properties so that I can try and zero in on the issue.

You can do the same by Right Clicking on My Computer and selecting properties.
