Adobe Acrobat “Convert Chat to PDF” Button Missing Only in ChatGPT Business Workspace

Summary

I’m seeing an issue where the Adobe Acrobat Chrome extension’s “Convert Chat to PDF” button does not appear in ChatGPT Business, while it works normally in ChatGPT Free under the same browser environment.

The issue appears to be specific to the ChatGPT Business / Team workspace rather than Chrome, the Adobe account, or the Acrobat extension itself.

Environment

  • OS: Windows
  • Browser: Google Chrome
  • Adobe Acrobat Chrome extension: Installed and enabled
  • ChatGPT web: chatgpt.com
  • ChatGPT Business workspace: Team
  • Adobe Acrobat Generative AI option: Available in the extension settings
  • Gemini: Acrobat PDF button appears normally in the same Chrome environment

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Chrome with the Adobe Acrobat extension installed and enabled.
  2. Go to ChatGPT.
  3. Sign in with my ChatGPT Business account.
  4. Enter the Team / Business workspace.
  5. Open any normal conversation.

Actual result

The Acrobat buttons do not appear.

Missing buttons include:

  • “Convert Chat to PDF” at the top-right of the ChatGPT page
  • “Convert to PDF” below individual ChatGPT responses
  1. Sign out of the ChatGPT Business account.
  2. In the same Chrome environment, sign in with a different, newly created ChatGPT Free account.
  3. Open a conversation.

Actual result

The Adobe Acrobat buttons appear immediately and work normally:

  • “Convert Chat to PDF” appears at the top-right
  • “Convert to PDF” appears below individual responses
  1. Sign out of the Free account.
  2. Sign back in with the original ChatGPT Business account.

Actual result

The Acrobat PDF buttons disappear again.

Additional A/B Testing

I also tested the following:

Environment Acrobat PDF Button
Same Chrome + ChatGPT Business / Team Missing
Same Chrome + ChatGPT Free Works
Same Chrome + Gemini Works
Another Chrome profile + ChatGPT Free Works
Another Chrome profile + Gemini Works

This suggests the Adobe Acrobat extension itself is functioning normally.

Troubleshooting Already Tried

I have already tried the following, but the issue remains:

  • Signed out of the Adobe account
  • Signed in with a different Adobe account
  • Removed and reinstalled the Adobe Acrobat Chrome extension
  • Cleared all chatgpt.com cookies, cache, and site data
  • Fully restarted Chrome
  • Confirmed that the Acrobat extension’s Generative AI settings are available
  • Confirmed that Gemini still shows the Acrobat PDF button in the same Chrome profile
  • Confirmed that switching only the ChatGPT account from Business to Free makes the PDF button appear

Important Observation

This same ChatGPT Business account previously displayed the Acrobat PDF button normally.

The button disappeared only recently.

Because the button still works:

  • in Gemini,
  • in ChatGPT Free,
  • and in other Chrome profiles,

the issue does not appear to be caused by a general Chrome failure, an Adobe account problem, or a broken Acrobat extension installation.

Expected Behavior

The Adobe Acrobat “Convert Chat to PDF” integration should appear in ChatGPT Business / Team workspace the same way it appears in ChatGPT Free, assuming the Acrobat extension is enabled.

Actual Behavior

The Acrobat PDF integration appears in ChatGPT Free, but not in the ChatGPT Business / Team workspace.

Possible Areas to Investigate

Could Adobe please check whether this may be related to:

  • ChatGPT Business / Team workspace support
  • Different DOM or page structure in ChatGPT Business
  • Acrobat extension page detection / content-script injection
  • Account- or workspace-level feature flags
  • A recent ChatGPT UI change affecting Business accounts
  • A recent Acrobat extension update affecting ChatGPT Business compatibility

The strongest reproduction case is:

Same computer, same Chrome installation, same Acrobat extension.
ChatGPT Free account = PDF buttons appear.
ChatGPT Business / Team account = PDF buttons disappear.

This behavior is consistently reproducible.
