Question

Adobe Acrobat Standard or Professional RDS License and Restrictions

We would like o know whether an Adobe Acrobat Standard or Professional license can be installed on a Remote Desktop Server, and whether we can apply software access restrictions to manage the number of licenses we require.

For example, if we apply Software Access Restriction to a group of 5 users, can we purchase 5 licenses even though 10 users operate on the server.  Access Restrictions means the user cannot see or open the application.

There are different license types also, from Retail to Volume License.  Would be good to confirm what license is required for Remote Desktop / Terminal Services.

You need a license for every user that accesses the product (not the server): VIRTUALIZED DEPLOYMENTS — Enterprise Administration Guide

The license type is up to you, and the decision is based on a number of factors. See this for starter links: Acrobat-Reader Enterprise Toolkit Home

There are some awkward issues. For example, Acrobat adds a ACROBAT ribbon to Word. It will do that for all users. Does this mean all Word users need a license? (I have a question not an answer).
