Adobe Admin Console username help?

Everytime I want to add a plugin or download something to my desktop via Creative Cloud, I keep being asked for the Admin name and password. I thought I was and my login info doesn’t work.

How do I find out how to access this please?

It’s stopping my creative flow!

    Hi @CreativeDamion,

Thank you for reaching out, and we're sorry this is interrupting your creative flow. We understand how disruptive it is to be prompted for a credential every time you try to install a plugin or download something through Creative Cloud.

The good news is that this is not actually your Adobe login. When you install applications or plugins through Creative Cloud, your computer prompts you for your own administrator credentials to complete the installation. This is a security step at the operating system level and is completely separate from your Adobe ID and password.

    • On macOS, this is the username and password you use to log in to your Mac, the account that was set up when the computer was first configured. If you do not remember it, Apple has steps to reset it here: https://adobe.ly/49vqLWK

    • On Windows, this is the administrator account on your PC. If you are not sure which account on your computer has admin rights, or you do not have the password, Microsoft's guidance is here: https://adobe.ly/4ebNXMh

    • If the computer was set up by someone else, such as a family member, a previous owner, or an IT person, you would need to get the administrator password from them, or set up an admin account of your own on the device.

Please give that a try and let us know how it goes. We are happy to help further if anything is still unclear.

    Thanks,
    ^BS
