Adobe cc 2019 deployment on windows 7pro error

Hi all,

We deployed Adobe CC 2019 through our admin console in a full Windows 7 Pro environment.

However, we started to encounter issue of “Adobe IPC Broker has stopped working“ error everytime we trigger an adobe product. After which the whole application will hang and the error message will keep popping up untill we reboot.

the current interim solution is to grant user temporary local admin right and it will be fine but it is not in conjunction with my company IT policies. After users reboot, the GPO will kick in and turn them into standard users again and problems comes back again.

We have tried contacting adobe support but proof to be fruitless. They suggest to grant full access to all adobe folder but it is a futile attempts.

we have like 200 users and this cannot goes on. Can someone with similar experience point out some light for me. Desperate support. Thanks

We just decided to update everything to Windows 10. Support was removed by Adobe and Microsoft for Win 7 so we had to get on the upgrade train and go to the next stop. A lot of other things would stop working, so we were at a tipping point. We may find ourselves here again, but at least the operating system won't be a problem today.

This has started happening with our deployment as well. We are updating to Windows 10 as fast as we can, but we have over 70,000 machines, and some run legacy systems so it must be done carefully. Over a thousand of our machines have Adobe CC deployments, and over 600 are Adobe CC All Apps users. This is a big deal for us, and I look forward to seeing this issue answered here.

Hi,

did you figure out a solution without local Admin right?

Thanks

I've found a solution for this:

  • Turn on User Account Control on Windows 7
    1. Login as admin
    2. Click on start button
    3. Type in “change user account control settings” in search bar
    4. Move the slider from the bottom to the top
    5. Logout/restart
    6. Try out Adobe software as standard user

Hi support, we send the log as per request on singapore time on the 26th July and till date there is very slow respond even though we highlight it is a p1 impact on 150 to 200 users in my environment. Adobe support is not taking our issue seriously and respond quickly. This is getting very disappointing. Can anyone help to escalate the case?

Hi

It looks like my company is having the same problem. The problem occurs since last week. We are using the same workaround.

Please let me know what the solution was.

Hello there,

I can "second" the problem, as well as the workaround. We are experiencing this issue only with Windows 7 Pro.

The same Adobe tools do not seem to reproduce the IPC Broker Appcrash on Windows 10 Machines (we're partly on the Windows 1803 and 1903 branch (for testing purposes)).

Greetings,

Thorsten
