Adobe Creative Cloud for Teams: Missing Files After Account Transfer, Business Cloud Storage Not Loading, and No Resolution From Support

I’m posting here because I have been trying to resolve a serious issue with Adobe Support for far too long, and I’m hoping someone in the community can advise me on what to do next.

Here is what happened:

Our organization purchased an Adobe Creative Cloud for Teams subscription and added three employees to the Business account.

One of my team members, who previously used a personal Adobe account, attempted to transfer her files to our new Business account. The transfer did not complete correctly. Her files disappeared from her personal account, but they never appeared in the Business account.

These files include important work materials such as designs, photographs, collages, and other visual assets. They belong to my team member and are essential for our work.

To make matters worse, the cloud storage in our Business account does not load at all. It simply displays a loading spinner indefinitely. This issue has persisted, and we still cannot access the storage properly.

What has happened with Adobe Support so far:

  • I contacted Adobe Support and explained the issue multiple times.

  • The case was escalated to the backend/senior engineering team.

  • I was repeatedly assured that the team was actively working on the issue and that someone would contact me with an update.

  • I was eventually given the name of the senior specialist allegedly responsible for the case.

  • I was explicitly asked to wait 24 hours for an email containing an update and details about the investigation.

  • The 24 hours passed, but I received no email, no call, and no update from this specialist.

  • I provided my phone number as requested, but this did not result in any meaningful progress.

  • Every time I contact Support, I have to explain the situation again and deal with generic responses, repeated apologies, and requests to wait longer.

At this point, I still have no clear information about what has actually been investigated, whether the missing files have been located, whether recovery is possible, or what steps Adobe is taking to fix the Business storage issue.

I understand that technical investigations can take time. However, what is unacceptable is the complete lack of communication and accountability after repeated promises that someone would contact me.

I would really appreciate advice from anyone who has experienced a similar issue or knows how Adobe’s escalation process works.

  1. Has anyone experienced files disappearing during a transfer from a personal Adobe account to a Creative Cloud for Teams account? Were you able to recover them?

  2. Is there a way to check whether the files still exist on Adobe’s servers, even though they are no longer visible in either account?

  3. Is there a way to escalate a case directly to someone in Adobe’s engineering or management team who can take responsibility for the investigation?

  4. Is there a specific department or official complaint channel for unresolved Business account issues?

I am not looking for basic troubleshooting advice about clearing the cache or restarting the application. The problem involves missing files and a Business cloud storage service that has been inaccessible, and the case has already been escalated internally.

I need to find a way to get the missing files investigated and recovered, restore access to the Business storage, and finally get a clear response from someone who is actually handling this case.

Any advice, relevant experience, or suggestions on how to escalate this properly would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @powerful_Dusk4484,

Thank you for laying out the timeline so clearly, and we recognize what this has actually cost you, missing work files your team needs, a storage service that still does not load, and on top of that, a specific promise of a callback within 24 hours that was never kept. That last part matters as much as the technical issue itself, and it should not have happened.

On your specific questions, here is what we can answer honestly rather than guess at.

First, could you confirm whether this case was logged by your organization's admin through Admin Console, rather than through general consumer support. For a Business account issue like this, logging it that way is the correct, highest tier path, it routes directly to backend specialists rather than general troubleshooting. When logging it, your admin can also influence the priority and urgency assigned to the case, this depends both on the actual business impact described and on the type of agreement your organization is on. Lost work files and an inaccessible storage service affecting your team is exactly the kind of impact that should be reflected there, so if this was logged at a lower priority than warranted, that is worth revisiting with your admin now.

There is not a separate, higher escalation channel beyond that for Business accounts, and there is no direct line to engineering or management that bypasses case handling, for anyone, regardless of account type.

On whether the files still exist on Adobe's servers, that can only be determined by engineering directly, and it depends on something specific, whether the transfer process deleted the files from the personal account before or after confirming they were successfully copied to the Business account. That sequencing is exactly what needs to be checked, and only someone with backend access can check it.

Recovery is a separate question that only makes sense to discuss once that existence check comes back, there is no honest way to tell you recovery is or is not possible before that is known, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

Given two separate accounts and a transfer between them are involved, this genuinely does require more than one team coordinating, which is part of why it takes longer than a single app issue would, that is a real constraint, not an excuse for the silence you experienced.

Could you share your case number here. We want to look specifically at why the promised update never came, not just restate that the technical investigation is ongoing, you have already heard that enough times without a result.

    Thanks,
    Tariq

The issue was reported directly to Adobe Support from our Business account. I contacted support through the usual channel, explained the problem, and the case was escalated to the senior engineering team.

At no point during this entire process did anyone tell me that, because we have a Business account, there was a different support procedure we should have followed. If this were the required route, I would have expected your support agents to inform me of that from the beginning, rather than letting this drag on for weeks.

    Our case number is ADB-47307446-R9F0

Please clarify whether this existing case was routed incorrectly and, if so, how it can be transferred to the appropriate team without having to restart the entire process.

    @powerful_Dusk4484,

Thanks for sharing the details. Let me review the case, and I will see if I can get hold of anyone to look into this further.
Could you share the personal email ID of the employee whose account had files on it? Please share that via Private message.
