Question

Adobe Creative Cloud in the Enterprise; Proxies

Hi,

I'm troubleshooting Adobe Creative Cloud problems that appear to have existed for four years according to CC forum questions. So far the solution to the problem is connect to another network and don't use proxy settings. Anyone in an enterprise environment will know this is not possible so those suggestions are a waste of time...

Problem:

Adobe CC refuses to use proxy settings and attempts to travel outbound and is ultimately blocked by firewall.

Symptoms:

End-Users are unable to connect to Adobe CC unless they use a "Guest-Wireless" connection to install the product. Installs error out with error code: 201, CC check-in fails and gives the user a countdown of days until the product will be unusable if no CC connection is established.

Troubleshooting:

Adobe has been added to trusted site list, all Adobe traffic is whitelisted.

netsh.exe winhttp import proxy source=ie - Adobe products still are not defaulting to proxy settings as configured by PAC

netsh.exe winhttp set proxy *specified proxy* - Same result, no outbound.

Please assist with a solution suitable for an enterprise setting. Using a Guest Wireless connection to access CC is not a suitable solution for the enterprise.

Example failure...

Why would the Typekit product, which appears to be optional for Adobe CC users, be generating traffic if Typekit isn't even being used? And would this cause Adobe CC to lose its cloud connection and fail its check-in?

Thank you for moving me to the right area. Also, please note I have a few Fiddler logs that can be used in troubleshooting.
