Question

Adobe Creative Cloud not uninstalling

I’m trying to uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud (version 4.9.0.515) on a work PC through the uninstaller that comes with the installation, but I continuously get the error “Uninstallation of Creative Cloud completed with errors”, and uninstalls nothing. I have tried re-installing the uninstaller from Adobe and running it as admin (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/apps/manage-apps/creative-cloud-desktop-app/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html), and I get the same error. I have also tried Adobe’s Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/apps/troubleshoot/diagnostics-repair-tools/prepare-to-run-creative-cloud-cleaner-tool.html) but it relies on a python dll that my laptop does not have, and that I can’t get, due to work related restrictions.

Only thing I’ve successfully managed to do is remove all registry keys associated with CC, but of course the application still remains and is functional. I have manually closed all Adobe related processes before uninstalling too, but the uninstallation still does not go through. Does anyone have a fix for this and is it a known issue?

    Hi @Friendly_hearted0fb8,

Thank you for reaching out. It seems that you likely have an Enterprise subscription linked to your account (Federated ID), although I don't have all the details.

In this case, the best course of action is to reach out to your Admin. If they are unable to resolve the issue, they can create a ticket through the Admin console, and a dedicated team will get in touch.

Please be aware that since your machine is managed by IT, most suggestions may not have a significant impact in your case.

    Thanks,
    Tariq

It may be due to restrictions or permission issues on your machine. I am not sure how to get past this as generaly creative cloud desktop app is the solution for such issues and it works well
