Adobe CS3 Master installation problems

I'm getting an Error 7 when attempting to install Adobe CS3 Master using the silent application.xml.override method.
On going through the log file I get a number of these errors:
Error setting action for {A38BA97D-690D-487B-AA57-ED9F61AE5CC5} Adobe After Effects CS3 Third Party Content:
requires serial number
If I install using the normal full GUI method then the install proceeds fine so there is no problem with my serial number.
If I remove Adobe After Effects CS3 Third Party Content from install.xml then the install is fine - however I then have to install this component manually which defeats the purpose of automated deployment!
Any help please?
