ADobe DC download does not start

Hi,
I received my license today. I am registred and logged in and when I try to download the desktop app, I get redirected to a download window (so far so good). The download does not start automatically and by clicking the link it won't start either. Tried 2 different browsers. Tried German and US website. Tried Admin and User account. Tried external links. I un-checked the button to only allow for safe downloads in browser options.
I never had such a case, so I am at the dead end now. Can someone send me the installer file to my email instead?

By the way: The "real help from real people" with a headset symbol is a joke - no way to write an email or call someone, I searched for 15 minutes and finally ended up with the community support instead of Adobe support. Dont disclaim something that you don't want to offer (when people pay for it).
