Adobe PDF printer disappears in VDI environment

Has anyone out there experienced an issue where the Adobe PDF printer is not showing up in the printer list?

Acrobat DC build 2015.006.30279, Windows 7 SP1 x64, serialized licensing.

We are using VMware Horizon 6.2.2 and the desktops in question are Linked Clone virtual desktops.

The "parent image" that we use to create linked clones does have the Adobe PDF printer on it when you log in to the parent (golden image).  Acrobat DC was installed by logging in as local administrator.  The parent image is not domain joined, but the linked clones are domain joined.
