Adobe Reader XI 11.0.17 & SCCM

We are trying to update our installs of Adobe Reader to version 11.0.17 using SCCM 2012. Whenever we place the .msp file in the folder, SCCM is unable to update the content of the Distribution point. If we put the 11.0.16.msp file there are no issues. Any suggestions? Is the 11.0.17.msp file corrupt in any way?

Hi marcb19557784,

Could you please tell us what version of Reader is installed in your environment?

Try to manually update the system and check if you are able to update Reader.

We currently have 11.0.10. We can manually apply the update, We can also slipstream it to the MSI.

But the issue is that for some reason Microsoft SCCM 2012 does not accept the update.

If we place the 11.0.17.msp file in a folder, SCCM will not upload it to the distribution point. If we slipstream it, it will not upload the .msi

It works fine with the original .msi or with the 11.0.16 update.

Usually similar issue happens if we are installing Out of Cycle patch but in your case 10.0.10 has a planned update and as per your testing it works fine manually.
