AdobeUpdater.Overrides file being ignored

I have placed the AdobeUpdater.Overrides file in the appropriate directories:

/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0

C:\ProgramData\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0

When I run the Adobe Application Manager, and look for updates it doesn't even look at the Overrides file, it continues to contact the Adobe update server, I know this because I put the Adobe update server in my hosts file to 127.0.0.1

When I do this it gives me the "Server Not Responding" message, otherwise it finds the updates and downloads them like normal.

Any suggestions?

Found this thread because I noticed no updates are being pulled from my internal server...  I posted a more in depth reply here:

Did you ever get to the bottom of your issue? The Adobe Update Server for local use is very much done by another unrelated team to the rest of Adobe, just not fit for purpose really.
