Question

Air Force provided a standalone copy of CC - Install fails on certain computers.

We have a stand alone version of CC provided by the Air Force for use on their networks. After extracting the 15.9GB full version and trying to install the progress bar goes back to 0 and the install fails.

From our download page:

ADOBE

ADOBE Software Products
"AF Adobe Software Distribution provides a limited subset of Adobe software products to a select group of AF members.  The subset of software currently includes the Adobe Acrobat Professional and Creative Cloud Suite (Full and Single Products).  The Adobe Acrobat Professional software distributed on this page is packaged with LiveCycle Designer software and is intended for usage on NIPR or standalone environments. If Adobe Acrobat Professional is being installed on an AF SIPR networked computer, the software should be downloaded from the AFCEDS AIS “SDC-DSCC” >> “SDC Separate Components” and will not include the LiveCycle Designer software.

I have attempted single install and full install products, logged in a different users with different levels of permissions, ran the CC cleaner, and ended the adobetray process. The install works on our HP Z820s but not our HP Z420s. Both machines are 64bit and use the same standard USAF image and receive the same updates via SCCM. Also, they have not had creative cloud installed before and the only Adobe products installed are Captivate 7 and Flash player.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Jason,

It seems to be an issue with the package which you are deploying. Can you please try below steps and give a try again?

Delete OOBE folder from C:\Users\user name\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE

    Restart windows installer service.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks,

That fix did not work. I tried it on multiple machines with no luck. I don't think it is an issue with the package since it runs on one of our computer models but not the other.

Again, as the progress bar for the install is filling up it stops and then goes back down to 0%. I get a windows popup stating asking if the program installed correctly and states that there may be compatibility issues. I am running the 64bit install on my 64 bit machines. Attempting to install the individual programs provided by the Air Force results in the same error.

I can provide any system info you need to troubleshoot further. To knock out the obvious, I am using 64bit windows 7 and the 64bit windows full CC offline installer.
