Automatic Assignment Rules

Hello All,

 

We recently implemented automatic assignment rules, and they so far are working well. I am wondering if there has been any consideration to possibly add more filtering to select who is eligible for automatic assignment of the products. One thing that would be helpful would either be by filtering by an AD or cloud group a user is in, or even by what OU they are in within AD.

 

In our case, we have applicants who are just applicants and technically could get an Adobe license if they knew about it without being a student here since our applicants and students have the same email domain.

 

If anyone has any thoughts or can point me in the direction on how to submit a feature request for this specific idea, that would be great.

Currently, the automatic assignment rules in the Adobe Admin Console allow system administrators to automate product provisioning based on specific criteria:

  • All users in the organization: All existing and new users added to the organization are eligible to be automatically provisioned a license upon request for the selected product.
  • Users in selected directories or domains: All existing and new users added to the selected directories or domains are eligible to be automatically provisioned a license upon request for the selected product.

There is no dedicated wishlist forum for the Adobe Admin Console at this time. However, you are welcome to use this community to submit feature requests, and we will ensure they are shared with the relevant teams for consideration.

Thanks for the reply and info.

 

The current options don't allow us to setup the rule based on the OU the user is in within Active Directory, which would be nice. We found a way to make the rule work for us, but having the ability to be more fine-grained with it would be very helpful.
