I am planning to remove local storage and move fully into the cloud for a team of 8 graphic designers - maybe also motion designers. Can I configure cloud storage to be used as a "Team server" - so that it’s possible to create a common folder with customer projects from A-Z?

Hi @Niels Henrik Duevang,

See the following link, it says that the storage for the all the users in now pooled to a common quota and can be used by everyone as against the old method of per user storage. This should help you with what you are trying to achieve

If you have any further questions you should contact support via Admin Console.

P.S.:- I don't have firsthand experience with a teams/enterprise subscription so can't help further with specifics.

You will need a lot of cloud storage…as the storage is shared, but each share with each user takes individually the cloud space (so shares of 5Tb with 5 users need 25Tb of total cloud space+5Tb of local disk space for each PC running Creative Cloud). But yes, it is possible. I use it basically to share work with collaborators remotely, those who don't have access to our company internal shared space.

A second use are shared libraries, with some design element, like logos, colour codes etc.

Most Adobe applications now allow saving to the cloud in a "cloud" file format. But it is still possible to store data locally (and also locally to the cloud, by accessing the synchronized space used by the cloud application).

Important to know: All the cloud space is mirrored locally, so if you want to save local storage (on the PC or Laptop), it won't work. One Tb of used cloud space also needs that Tb as local storage.

As for the backup, I would never trust a different company. I would do my own backup in addition to having the disaster security that cloud services offer.

Have you considered how you would do backups?

No - have not dived into that yet. But I guess there should be some kind of cloud integration such services?

I am not aware of any special provision for backups. For this reason I would never suggest or recommend "moving to the cloud" in this way (rather than using it as a secondary medium for sharing).  Backups for cloud files are more, not less, necessary... I'd like to hear other opinions and suggestions of how systematic and safe backups can be achieved.
