Can't activate Adobe Creative Suite 6 on another PC

Hello,

My organisation has historically had access to Adobe Creative Suite 6 on a specific computer. Unfortunately this computer is no longer functional and crashes when we try to use InDesign, Illustrator etc. I have worked at my organisation for about one year and was not working here when Adobe Creative Suite 6  was purchased, presumably several years ago.

A colleague of mine gave me what appeared to be the original serial number for the software and the official DVD-ROM to install the software, plus an Adobe ID (not this one - I don't have access to the associated email account) and password which I presumed would be associated with the order. I deactivated the software on the broken PC, then installed it on a functioning PC and entered the serial number. I was then asked to log in, and used the ID and password I had been given, but received the message that there were no products associated with the account. So, I logged onto the Adobe website with the ID and password and found a section to input old serial numbers. However, on submitting the serial number, I received a message saying it was invalid.

I am completely confused about how I can get the software installed and activated on another PC. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
