Question
Can't get a package out of InstallShield Tuner 6.0.1
Hi,
I have tried for days with various settings and can't get this to work.
Product and PC details:
*InstallShield Tuner 6.0.1
*Acrobat 6.0 Standard
*PC running the InstallShield Tuner is a Pentium 3 PC running Windows 2000 professional English (SP3).
What I am trying to accomplish:
*Create a silent installer of the full Standard version. Silent means that no selection dialog should be displayed to the user.
What I am doing:
*Launch the Tuner app.
*Select the ITW file from the folder containing the full package.
*Create a new transform file (which automatically includes also the AcroStan.mst from the Adobe delivery folder.
*Do not change the features or the location for installation or any such option.
*Select to create a Setup package and to include the Win2K MSI.
*Tried with or without adding /qn for a silent installation.
*Insert a predefined User + Company + Serial number.
*Create a package.
The problem:
Running the Setup results in an error saying: "Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid."
Adding the /qn flag obviously just makes the error message go away.
The request for help:
Please, what am I missing / doing wrong in the process?
Thanks!
Eyal
