Can't install any new software, because the OS prompt doesn't appear

Hi community,

I have a problem of installing Illustrator. When I hit the 'install' button, a pop-up window said:

Admin password required

Check for an OS prompt and follow the instructions. We will need your administrator password to continue.

I clicked 'continue', and there was no prompt window. I have checked the privacy&security settings, and there is nothing wrong. I tried on other applications and also failed on them.

Does anyone have any clue? Many thanks in advance!

The prompt for entering admin credentials generally comes when there is a lack of permission/ restrictions for installing the apps. You can check with another admin account for testing.

It seems that your are logged in on your PC as a normal user. For installation CC apps you need Admin rights.

Log in as an administrator or an user with Admin rights.

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 8 - PureRAW 5 - Topaz Photo

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I just checked my Users&Groups panel, and it seems that I have already checked in as the admin.

Do you know any other possible reason?

Thank you again!
