CC Adobe Update Server Setup Tool

Hi Everyone,

I had a few Queries with regards to the Cc AUSST (Adobe Update Server Setup Tool). Quite simply I want to know if by having on of these services setup, will you be able to download entire applications via the local Update Server? I would think this is the case, but I would like to confirm whether it is limited to updates only, or if it capable of making the Application available too?

Hi Cupis123,

With AUSST setup you will be able to update all Adobe app's. Refer the doc: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/packager/update-server-setup-tool.html.

Romit didn't answer your question but I can share my experience with you.

AUSST only downloads updates to applications, not the applications themselves.

One word of advice; if you're using the built-in Apache web server and aren't familiar with it (I'm not, and find it to be frustratingly difficult to use, just like AUSST) point the AUSST tool to a directory within your existing web pages. That will save a lot of headaches.

Hi Brian,

Thank you for that feedback, that was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for the other tips too, but I have setup my AUSST on Windows7/IIS which seems to be working ok, just have not been able to verify if the tool was doing full packages. Thanks for the info!

Do you happen to know if there is a way to locally cache those packages? I have seen you can use Adobe Packager to package the installs, but my goal is to setup an environment that require as little amound of IT intervention as possible.
