CC Libraries window freezes and are unresponsive

I have recently been having the same issues across Indesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop: my CC Libraries window is unresponsive. I use this feature a lot to have my company color swatches constantly on hand no matter the platform and to share with vendors and other coworkers but recently its been unusable.

Issues:

  • It's the only window to freeze (everything else works in the program),
  • Sometimes when it does work, if I click one color it actually uses another color that I did not click
  • Closing and reopening the window and/or the program itself does not help.

This started in December 2020. I have since updated all of my programs twice but that doesn't seem to have helped. The issue still continues.

Hello! I have the same problem, and even after fallowing the shared help my CC libraries are still freezing.

Have you confirmed you have the latest version of INDD installed on your computer? I was having the same issue and noticed in the CC app that I didn't have the latest INDD (v 17.2.1) — installing it fixed the CC Libraries issue for me in INDD.
