Hi, I am trying to uninstall the creative cloud suite from my mac as my licence has expired. It seems that I have to update to the latest version of every app I have installed before I'm able to uninstall them. This seems insanely self defeating. I just want to get rid of the entire thing.

It seems insane to waste all this bandwidth and time.

    hi,

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
