CCP not initialising after new version installed

Or, how Adobe continually finds new ways to cripple your productivity............

Can't edit packages anymore, ok, new version of CCP - takes half a lifetime to initialise, crashes when you press "build"; now taking 3/4 of a lifetime to start again.

Anyone else?
