Configuration Error 16 Adobe CC15

Hi there, I have a lab of  Active Directory connected Mac computers running El Capitan that are intermittently getting the configuration error 16 as explained on the site Configuration error in Adobe Creative Cloud when launching CC apps.  I have reset permissions several times, and although it originally helped the issue for awhile, they are still having intermittent trouble.  Sometimes a reboot will be enough to solve the issue and sometimes coming back later and trying again seems to work.  They can go for a couple of weeks and not have any issues, but then all of a sudden it will start up a bit again.  I have checked and automatic updates are off for El Capitan and the Adobe suite itself.  I see this is a very common issue, but I haven't been able to find anything other than resetting the permissions or maybe reinstalling that would seem to fix the issue.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Hi lpsd,

I am experiencing precisely the same issue - AD bound iMacs, running El Cap and running CC 2017 apps with an enterprise license.

The error 16 seems quite intermittent, and sometimes it just fixes itself only to return several days later.

rpandita - are you saying that Adobe has rolled out a fix for this error?

Hi roryjoem,

Yes error 16 should be fixed if you create a new package with the latest version of CCP 1.12

Hi lpsd ,

Please make sure that you are using the latest version of creative cloud packager, latest version is 1.12

Once you update your CCP then you can create a license package and deploy it, that should take care of the error 16 issue.

Moving this discussion to the Deployment for Creative Cloud for Team, Enterprise, & CS forum.

Lpsd what type of a Creative Cloud membership does your organization have?  Are you able to correct Error 16 after adjusting the file permissions to the SLStore and AdobePCD folders?

Hi Jeff,

No, unfortunately I had tried several times to rectify the issue by changing the permissions, and although it didn't make it as prevalent it still was an issue.  I will try the newest version of CCP and hope for the best.
