Hi, our windows profiles directories are created in in the "D:\User\" directory.

Creative Cloud fails updating when USERNAME exceeds 16 characters in the "D:\User\" directory :

  • Creative Cloud 6.0.0.571
  • Windows 10 Pro v10.0.19045
  • %USERPROFILE% equals D:\Users\test.mansfeld-16
  • %USERNAME% equals test.mansfeld-16
  • Steps to reproduce the problem :
    1. Unzip the Adobe CC v6.0.0 offline installer ("ACCCx6_0_0_571.zip")
    2. Go inside the ".\ACCCx6_0_0_571\" directory
    3. Run the command ".\Set-up.exe --mode=silent" with an admin account
    4. Then start Adobe CC v6.0.0.571 with a normal user
    5. Don't loggin but just wait for the update to start
    6. After 89% (-ish), the Adobe CC window just quickly flashes and prompts the loggin window
    7. Go to the menu Help->About Creative Cloud
  • Expected result : Adobe CC updates to Adobe CC 6.1.0
  • Actual result : Adobe CC is still in v6.0.0

Can please help us ?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
