Question

Creative Cloud on all User startups

We are facing an issue with Creative Cloud starting on all machines after each user sign-in requiring the popup of signing into Creative Cloud. Is there a way to disable this for everyone? We are wanting Creative Cloud to not pop up after the sign in process, but still allow its processes to continue. Some professors on our campus do not use this product in the classroom and we are looking for a way to stop this on our classroom machines.

Hi @Moozzzzoo what are you using for authentication/SSO?

If you have CC installed and active on startup, it will ask for authorization to continue.

Once the user is signed in it shouldn't come up again.

There is no way to allow Creative Cloud to launch without a valid login so it's curious that you've deployed this across all machines incl. those who do not use the applications.

Hey @Kevin Stohlmeyer, our main focus currently is getting the creative cloud to stop asking for sign in on login. We have spoke with professors about signing in and has seemed to not gotten through to them. We use LabStats for software reporting and the opening of Creative Cloud is heavily skewed due to the pop up prompting you to sign into your browser for your account. I have tried disabling Creative Cloud on startup, but this seems to be corresponding to user based profiles instead of the whole machine. If you need some more information let me know! Thanks for the help!.

Hi @Moozzzzoo the sign in should be going through the CC desktop app portal not a webpage.

You are correct startup items are controlled at the user level not system normally.

Unfortunately if the service is starting up without a login - the user will be prompted to login initially to validate.

The options you have are - 1. the user resolves their own issue by completing an initial login to verify or 2. have the user turn off CC in the startup items in their Windows settings or 3. remove the application from those systems that don't use it.

As for why it's prompting via a web page and not the portal, check your authentication settings in the Admin console:

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
