creative cloud packager application closed unexpectedly

I am trying to run the CCP on Windows 10 64Bit, logged in as local pc administrator. I can go through the settings to create package,  set the package details (file name, location, organization, 64-bit package, Device license, correct pool, checked box for Creative Cloud Desktop Application and both boxes under that, no custom settings. When I click next, the Adobe Application Manager reports that it has stopped working, and the only option is to close the program.

HELP!

I would recommend either reinstalling the Adobe Application Manager or removing and then reinstalling the Creative Cloud Packager.
