Creative Suite Design Premium CS5.5

I purchased this product  a few years back, and now I would like to install it on my new Windows 10 Pc.

Chatting with the support. they recovered my serial key, and sent it to me along with a link to download the software.

Here's what they sent:

Thank you for contacting Adobe .

Serial key : [removed]

Product : Adobe Design Premium CS5.5

Download link : https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-5-product-downloads.html

I downloaded the file named: DesignPremium_CS5_5_LS1, and installed it.

When activating, it says the key doesn't match the product.

The person in the support chat said it's because I have a volume licensing version.

He gave me this link: https://licensing2.adobe.com

But I'm unable to log in to that page with my adobe credentials.

This is what I get: "Adobe does not recognize you as an authorized user of this web site. Please contact Adobe for assistance."

Is there a different file to download from a different location?

What do I do?

    Reseller can't help me/not available.

    Why wouldn't Adobe help me???

All I need is the installation file.

Why would it be totally available to download the regular version, but not the VL version???

I have the key, they actually recovered it for me.

    1. i'm not an adobe employee.

    2. i don't know anything (other than what you've stated) about your particular situation.

    3. it's not clear you have legal software.

    4. adobe no longer supports even legal software that old.  they do make installation files available to anyone with single-user licenses for cs2 or later.  volume installation files have never (afaik) been available except via the enterprise portal that requires secure sign-in.

    5. you can try posting to the enterprise forum and see if someone there has more information.

Clarification: I am the original business who bought the original license.

It was bought as an upgrade license to C3 that I had purchased before.

Why the distributor sold us a VL key and not regular? maybe because of the upgrade, not sure.

In any case I do not need any transfer.

Somehow, I don't have access to download the installation files, which Adobe admits I have the license to.

They are just telling me: you have a VL key, but go to the forums and check there for an answer.

contact the reseller if you don't have the credentials needed to download your software.

you must use the volume licensing version and you need your login info for that.

    OK, I got that far.

But it seems that I don't have the right credentials to get into the volume licensing download area.

    How do I obtain that?

you get that from the person/institution that purchased the license.
