Thx for the input. I am Publishing Acrobat 11 via User Group policy, and now the installer and transform files are working properly; however, I still do not getting the Acrobat logo on the desktop icons.

The user is an admin on the computer, and the transforms succesfully removed older versions of Acrobat/Reader so I know it working.

Any advice on why the icon picture is missing would be greatly appreciated...

Dave,

How are you installing Acrobat XI?  Is it machine or per-user?  If it's per-user then you should try by machine.  The ETK says this:

The product only supports per MACHINE installs. It does not support per-USER installs.

Others are not experiencing these issues so I suspect a problem with your environment or workflow.

If the Wizard icons are missing, then uninstall all Wizards and reinstall.

To resolve the uninstall issues, you'll have to describe everything that you are doing, in what order, list what is already installed (Acrobat and Reader), and post your cmd line.
