Customized Acrobat 11 installer fails on Mac OS 10.8.2

Question

We created a customized installer for Acrobat 11 using the Adobe Customization Wizard for Macintosh. The resulting .pkg installer installed successfully on three Macs (two on 10.8.2 and one on 10.7.5) but the installer fails on the fourth machine, which is running 10.8.2. It appears that Acrobat installs into the Applications folder, but when I try to run it, a prompt pops up to register with an Adobe ID. This shouldn't be happening, given the settings for the installer:

•Accept End User License Agreement

•Disable Registration

•Grant Offline Exception (we have a volume serial number)

The three machines that we ran the installer successfully on have had no problems...Acrobat launches without any request for registration.

The console logs show the following info for the last two times we have tried to run the installer...

Any suggestions what the problem could be or what the fix is? Running the standard installer is not an ideal solution, since we intend to push Acrobat 11 out to over 300 machines.

As per the logs the installer was unable to modify the file: /Library/Preferences/com.adobe.PDFAdminSettings.plist . Error message is: "Error in converting the plist /Library/Preferences/com.adobe.PDFAdminSettings.plist to xml1 format".

The file might be open somewhere, or there might be a permission issue. Could take a backup of the file and then try deleting this file and then start the installation?

Hi,To investigate problem at our end, we require following logs:1) /private/var/log/install.log2) /tmp/oobelib.log3) /tmp/amt3.log4) ~/Library/Logs/PDApp.log(It might be that out of 2,3 and 4 a few are not present. Ignore those not present on the system)Also as per my understanding of your post, this is happening on a particular 10.8.2 machine and not all 10.8.2 machines. Am I correct? Could you also provide details of that machine like make (intel Mac or macbook etc), softwares installed particularly that of Adobe (Creative Suites etc), was any Adobe software running when you tried to push custom package, any Anti-Virus with on-access scan running?Thanks,Karan
