Does being added to the dashboard with a creative cloud license automatically install anything on your machine?

How will a Creative Cloud license appear to be installed on a computer? For example when using a ITSM tool(ServiceNow) I see computers with Adobe Creative Cloud installed and others with Adobe Photoshop CC listed. What is the difference?

    Being added to a dashboard as a user does not automatically install anything on a machine. Neither does being added as an admin or being added to a product configuration.
