Disable "save to cloud" for all CC products?

Hi all

Is it possible to turn of users being able to save to cloud? We use the CC client and users install the programs they have a license for, usually all.

But they deal in sensitive data and we do not want them to be able to accidently save it to the cloud. Only local is allowed.

Is there a way to turn it off?

@mortenp97296198  You can disable the "PDF service" from the admin console which will restrict the Acrobat cloud services including the file upload however for other CC apps, you have to implement multiple restrictions like blocking the sites on browser and network, Adobe endpoints, etc.

You have to use Federated ID and restrict the users to access the accounts outside the organizations.

If you have enterprise licenses, then you can implement asset sharing restrictions and check the content logs.

Asset sharing restrictions: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/enterprise/using/sharing-restrictions.html

Content logs: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/enterprise/using/content-logs.html

You can contact your Reseller/CSM and check for an alternate licensing option.

@SuJoshi is it correct to assume that if someone has Enteprise where they have consolidated/Enterprise/grouped storage - could the Admins not entitle/enable a cloud storage quota to users and prevent saving to cloud? The trade off is no syncing would occur (libraries, etc).

Hi @Kevin Stohlmeyer currently, with the ESM console, the quota allocation option is not available. The end-users can use the cloud storage that has been allocated through the Named-User license which is a natural expectation with this type of license.

hi @mortenp97296198 is your instance managed via the Admin Console? If so you can contact Adobe directly via the Support tab and they can help you restrict cloud saving. It's hard to pin down a solution via a public forum without knowing your excact plan and configuration.
