hello

i had an active student account leftover from last year

as i am continuing to take classes i re-upped the subscription

however theres a new process and now adobe created a dual login

one for my previous student account and now a new one under my school umbrella account

i understand why they did this

but now its asking me to reinstall EVERY app i installed

(bc of my class work i installed a lot...)

this seems incorrect

or is it?

has anyone had this same problem?

is there a way to for my local copies to just resubscribe

or do i really have to really uninstall and reinstall everything?

Correct answer toy toy

marking this as the answer - but clarifying

1. open the CC desktop app

2. logout

3. when logged out - goto the HELP menu and hit SIGN IN USING BROWSER

4. when the browser pops up - sign in using browser -

this worked....

thank you everyone

or sign out of your cc desktop app and sign back in with your other login.

If you installed these without using CC, then CC won't know about them, so you get an Install button. But if they are still on your computer, you can still run them as before. They pick up the license from the account signed in.

You normally can switch account without reinstalling anything. Lease show the message you get saying you need to reinstall.

i'm not sure what credentials are on your computer and what credentials you need to use.  so, contact adobe support.

there are 3 ways to contact adobe; chat, phone and twitter:

chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

phone:
https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html

twitter:
tweet @AdobeCare

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam, https://community.adobe.com/t5/using-the-community-discussions/staying-safe-in-the-adobe-support-community/td-p/12919684/redirect_from_archived_page/true
