Question

Downloading Illustrator to my computer, but it keeps appearing as the tablet app version only

I do not own a tablet, and my computer does not have a tablet linked to it.

I did search it up, and the only solutions I was able to find were to download from Chrome, which I have been doing; to restart the device, which I also did; and to check for storage, but I have a TB of storage available. I was able to successfully download Photoshop and Premiere, but Illustrator is just giving me the tablet version which I cannot access. Am I doing something wrong?

I did check, the PC version of Illustrator is part of my plan.

Hi @smart_Forest0fa0,

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry you're having a rough time getting this installed. Happy to help you get to the bottom of it, we just need a little more to go on.

Which app are you trying to install, Illustrator or Animate? And what happens when you try? Is there an error on screen, does it stop partway through, or does it install the wrong version? Knowing whether you're on Windows or Mac, and whether you're going through the Creative Cloud desktop app or the website, would help too.

Once we have that, we can point you in the right direction.

Thanks,
^AV

Hi @crystal_3105,

Thank you for reaching out. I have reviewed your account and found that your university has assigned Creative Cloud Enterprise SDL licenses to you. Please contact your Admin (IT admin) to get support; they can deploy the apps you need to your device. To know how to contact your Admin, see https://adobe.ly/4bhR04N

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
^BS
