Dynamic Stamp.... (Adobe Acrobat Standard DC)

We have used Adobe Standard products at our company for a department for many years.  User's need access to a few tools, one being the stamp which traditionally grabs their user info.  I've discovered with the online activation portion of the software it appears to share custom toolbar button inclusions which is awesome.. however it also shares the user info traditionally set on each machine.  I'm using the same user ID for all of our installs.  Never been prompted for this with older versions of Adobe Standard Products.

So far I've installed on three machines and the stamp seems to follow whoever last set up the info for the stamp... which isn't how we want this to work.  We'd like each user to be able to stamp their name for accountability sake, so a user stamp stays set for the user profile on that machine.  Some machines have multiple profiles/users that will log in and be stamping PDFs.

Can we turn this sort of function off easily or do I need to dig into some sort of customization setting in the wizard tool?  In summary, the user stamp info currently is propagating to all machines with Adobe Standard DC installed... separate S/Ns but using the same user ID for Activation.  I suppose I could use different user IDs, but that would be tough to manage.

I'll reply to my own question... you can disable preference synchronization in the different installs and also in the Acrobat Customization Wizard.  That disables this synchronization... now I need to figure out how to deploy a uniform Quick Tools with this program, I actually like that part of the sync... but the stamp user info syncing is a no go.

  • Hope I answered the tools part here: Standardize Quick Tools?
  • Manage different user IDs via the admin enterprise dashboard (won't help you with the stamp issue)
  • Custom stamps are per user. When a user creates and saves a custom stamp, the will always see their stamps when logging on. Stamps are stored here: C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\2015\Stamps. I am probably missing something because I think it works they way you want it to work.
