Is there a way to disable the Edit mode before installing the product?

I only need a searchable PDF (copy and paste) avoiding being editable for risk purposes.

Many of the tools change PDFs. There is not a single "edit" pref. Blocking the ability to change a doc is usually a document-level thing. Even Reader allows editing in a sense since users can add comments. Can you be more specific about what you mean by "Edit mode"?

Tools can be removed from the UI, and there are many other settings you can tweak, but you might be better off looking into document security features. For details about disabling features, customizing tools, see the Admin Guide and Preference Reference: Acrobat-Reader Enterprise Toolkit Home.

I want to be able to create a searchable PDF in order to copy & paste from it but disabling the ability to edit it to avoid changes in it.
