Question

El correo de mi cuenta de lightroom expiró, como puedo cambiar a un correo vigente?

Hello, good morning.

I would like to ask for your assistance with an issue regarding my Adobe Lightroom account.

I currently have an active subscription, but the email address associated with my account has expired because it was an institutional email account. I recently switched to a new device, and when I tried to sign in on my new phone, I was unable to access my account.

I would like to know if it is possible to update the email address associated with my account to a valid personal email address so I can regain access to my subscription and keep all my photos, edits, albums, and presets.

I still remember my Adobe password and can provide any information necessary to verify that I am the account owner.

I would greatly appreciate your help and guidance in resolving this issue.

Thank you very much!

    Hi @strong_Rainbow70e7,

Thank you for reaching out. We’re really sorry you got locked out just as you were setting up your new phone, especially with your photos, edits and presets all in that account.

If we’ve understood correctly, your Lightroom subscription is on an Adobe account that was created with an institutional email that no longer works, and you still remember the password. In that case, the first thing to try is signing in at https://adobe.ly/4iap6L5 with your current Adobe email and password. If you get in, go to the Account information and access section, select Change next to Primary email (Adobe ID), and enter your personal email address. A verification code will be sent to that address, and you’ll need to enter it within 10 minutes. Once it’s verified, you can use the new email to sign in on your phone. The full steps are here: https://adobe.ly/4srWwIg

This keeps you on your existing account, so we’d suggest trying it before creating a new one. Please also make sure the personal email isn’t already tied to another Adobe account, because an email can only be the primary email for one account at a time.

One more thing to check: if your subscription was assigned to you by your school or institution, the primary email has to be changed by your institution’s admin instead.

If you can’t get signed in at https://adobe.ly/4klmAmt, or the email change doesn’t go through, please tell us the exact message you see or the step where it stops. It would also help to know whether you pay for the subscription yourself or it came through your institution. Please don’t post your email address here.

Please let us know how it goes, we’re happy to assist further.

    Thanks,
    ^AV

Hi, thank you very much for your response and for your help.

I tried the first option by signing in to Adobe using my previous institutional email address and password, but I received a message stating that the account could not be found.

I would also like to clarify that I pay for the Lightroom subscription myself. When I originally created my Adobe account, I used my institutional email address instead of my personal email, and unfortunately, that institutional email has now expired.

Since I am the one paying for the subscription, could you please let me know what other options are available to recover my account and update the email address associated with it?

I would really appreciate any assistance you can provide, as I would like to regain access to my existing subscription and preserve all my photos, edits, albums, and presets.

Thank you again for your time and support!
