Enterprise account and VIP account linked to same email
Hi, I have discovered this community through searching for a resolution to a bit of a unique situation. If someone is able to advise I would be really grateful.
I have to give the background first, so....I joined my current company around 10 years ago. I joined a team of 6, but today, I am the only one left doing this job. I am a graphic designer within a Biotech company, so when I joined, my colleagues and I were the only people in our company to use Adobe software. We also use Macs, which are not supported by the company's IT department. When we moved from hard disks to Creative Cloud, my Adobe ID was created, which was my company email address.
Forward to 2019, the company has now decided to provide Adobe software to all users who require it through an Enterprise account. Staff were able to download Creative Cloud onto their PC laptops. However, due to the Macs not being supported by the IT department, Adobe licences still had to be purchased separately for the Macs.
In 2019 I had to take a month off to recover from an operation, but to cover emergencies, I was asked to download Indesign and Illustrator to my Dell laptop, so I could assist with small things from home if there was the need. I didn't need to use it on my laptop in the end, but the programmes remain there to this day.
I returned to work and continued to use Creative Cloud on my Mac, as usual.
Forward again to August/September 2020, the licence for the Mac is due for renewal and I am the only one left at the company doing my job after my last colleague left at the end of 2019. After a load of delays, it was finally purchased yesterday, 12 November. It is a Value Incentive Plan, with one licence.
I now find I cannot log into the admin console to allocate this new licence to myself, it is saying that I do not have admin access.
I am using my company email address, and choosing School/Work account.
I believe what has happened is that my ID, which is my work email address, has become fixed to the company's Enterprise account, so when I try to access the admin console, it tells me to contact my administrator, which would be the admin for the company's Enterprise account.
This means that I now cannot access the applications I need on my Mac, which is causing a major panic. My files, fonts and plug-in I use daily are all on this Mac, but without access to CC I cannot work. I am ground to a halt and nobody within my company can help. I am absolultely desperate!
Does anyone have any suggestions how I can solve this please?
Could Adobe change my ID for the VIP account maybe?
Thank you so much in advance
