Enterprise uninstallation of Acrobat X suite apps

Hi there,

We have about 122 Windows and 86 Mac workstations with Adobe CS5 Suite (the following apps are all bundled: Acrobat X Pro, Captivate, Photoshop CS5 32 and 64bit). We are tasked to remove only Adobe Photoshop CS5 on those workstations. Add/remove programs only shows Acrobat X Suite without listing each bundled app. We spent hours researching, developing and testing a fix but cannot find one even using wmic and PowerShell scripts. Our enterprise clients configuration manager is Altiris 7.5. We are to avoid uninstalling the entire Suite and then reinstalling it without Photoshop. Any technique recommended by Adobe to get this done?

Thanks,

Acrobat X Suite uses the same installer technology as the Creative Suite did which is an installer based on packages.  As I understand it if you installed the package (Acrobat, LiveCycle Designer ES2, Photoshop CS5, Adobe Captivate 5, Adobe Presenter 7, & Adobe Media Encoder) then when you remove the package all the contents of the package will be removed.  There is also a "Known Issue" document that discusses some uninstall issues that you should know about.
