Exclude AUSST tool from downloading MAC updates as we do not use MAC in our environment at all

 

Why doesn't Adobe AUSST have an option to download Windows updates only and exclude Mac updates? We only use Windows computers, so downloading Mac updates wastes storage space and takes extra time. Can Adobe add an option to download updates for Windows only?
 

There were many requests from other members but seems like Adobe was never interested to resolve it. We don’t use MAC in our environment at all but it’s taking a lot of spaces.

    Thank you for flagging this, and for showing that it's not a one-off ask; that context is useful.

    To confirm directly, AUSST still does not support filtering by operating system or platform today. The supported mechanism, --filterProducts, filters by product and version only; both platforms sync together regardless. See Filtering Adobe apps with the Adobe Update Server Setup Tool.

    We will share this with the product team. Requests that resurface independently across different customers and timeframes are exactly the kind of pattern that carries weight in review.

    If you're able to share the amount of storage this is costing your environment, that concrete number provides useful context when this gets reviewed.
