Expected behaviour when using Acrobat in Citrix

Hi all,

We have a client who has 3 named users across a group of 7 Citrix servers. I've used the Creative Cloud Packager to create a named user deployment of Acrobat Pro (after many hours of reading, I think this may have been the wrong utility to use) and deployed it across the servers.

Currently, named users have to sign in when they log on to a new server. They are already signed in if they log on to a server they've previously logged on to. Is this expected behaviour? Or should users only need to sign in once?

Under the Named User Licensing each user has their own Adobe ID. The do NOT share an Adobe ID and Citrix uses Roaming Profiles. So under Name User Licensing UserA signed into CX1 and true, whenever UserA logs into CX1, Acrobat is already signed into Acrobat. The licensing information for UserA is kept in their Roaming Profile.

When UserA logs into CX2. They may have to sign into Acrobat the first time to use it because their Roaming Profile is not set up for CX2. However when UserB logs into CX2 they should have their own Roaming Profile and therefore their own preferences. They would then be required to sign into Acrobat just like UserA and then subsequent logons into CX2 they would not have to sign into Acrobat just like UserA. Just like UserA, UserB's licensing information is in their Roaming Profile.

Hi Simon,

I'm a little confused about the question. Signing in is the same as logging on, so a rewrite of the next to last sentence is:

"They are already signed in if they signed in to a server they've previously signed in to."

Can you rephrase the question?

Sorry, I do realise using signing in and logging in can be confusing. To clarify what I mean:

Logging in - logging in to a Citrix server.

Signing in - signing in to Acrobat DC.

I'll outline our situation. We have 3 Citrix servers (CX1, CX2, CX3) with Acrobat DC installed. Our client has 3 named licenses.

UserA logs onto CX1. They have to sign in to Acrobat to use it. After that, whenever UserA logs into CX1, Acrobat is already signed in.

UserA logs onto CX2. They have to sign in to Acrobat to use it. After that, whenever UserB logs into CX2, Acrobat is already signed in.

My question is, is that expected behaviour? Or should UserA only need to sign in to Acrobat once, and after that they will already be signed in to Acrobat on all servers?

Basically, is the sign in info stored in the user's local profile or roaming profile?
