Explorer crashing when using silent installer

Hello,

I am using a freshly created package from the admin console, set up for Shared Device Licensing.  Installing on Windows 10, 1909.  The package includes all apps, except XD.  When using the silent install of:

start /wait setup.exe --silent

it will install fine, but about 5 minutes in, it will (presumably) crash Windows Explorer.  As in, the screen goes blank, and all I see is the mouse.

I'm observing sometimes that explorer comes back after the install is over, but sometimes it does not.

I can add a line to my install script to start explorer.exe again, but this shouldn't happen in the first place.  If I'm trying to install it while someone is using the computer, I don't want their screen to go black for the time of the 30 minute install to take place.

Wondering if anyone has any tips on how to avoid explorer.exe crashing during install?  Thank you!

Hello Carl,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Could you help me with the below information:

1. What deployment tool you are using?
2. Could you please confirm the core sync version at your end? Below is the information on how you can check this:
Method 1 - three dots on top right of CCDA > Preferences > Creative Cloud tab > Files sub tab > sync version
Or
Method 2 -
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Sync\CoreSync
CoreSync.exe
Right-click >> Properties>> Details Tab >> Version
3. Can you please confirm if the installer is being run as in the System context or as a local admin during deployment?
4. Please share the logs from the affected machine.

5. System information, Event viewer logs if any.

Thanks,
