How do I specifically install a device license without automatically using my other named user license?

My team has both a named-used license as well as two device licenses. If I want to specifically use a device license on this computer, how do I do so if I have to sign in (which is using the the named-user license)? When I sign in after opening Photoshop, the named user license status is becomes active, and there are no devices listed under the device license section.
