How long does it take for a group plan to become active?

Hi, anyone know how long it takes for student accounts to become active once a subscription has been paid for? I am a teacher at a secondary school. My department head purchased student licences for several classes, including mine, last week. My students still can't access Creative Cloud. Does it take more than a week?
