How to disable tabs in DC using registry?

Hello,As you probably know, Adobe Reader DC has a problem where it freezes when you switch between multiple PDFs that have been opened with tabs. This problem seems to be widespread (we've been able to replicate the issue on 10+ PCs in my environment). There are other users complaining about the same problem, such as in the thread below:Re: Acrobat Reader DC keeps crashing when multiple pdf files are open and I switch between them.Until Adobe fixes the bug, the only solution that I can see is to disable the tabs feature. Is it possible to disable tabs using the registry? Is there a way to do it using the Customization Wizard?

All, a bit late to this show, but for nearly the last year I have had the same end result "locking up" but in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. There are several different ways that make it lock up...during highlighting, during OCR, different times/places in the same document, but the failure is almost always certain to occur. I have spent at least 20 man hours online and on phone with tech support, who blame it on Windows (did it with 8 and now with 10) or they blame my $4k Alienware Aurora. This did NOT happen when I used Adobe Pro without the subscription. Can someone recommend an alternative to Adobe Pro that functionally is the same? I deal with large sets of medical records and OCR, search, annotate, bookmark and bates stamp every file I get. Thanks for any input.
