Question

How to enable Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop to update app auto-update via registry etc

Hi Guys,

Would anyone one know how to enable Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop to update apps via the auto-update feature in it's preference settings - via registry etc.

Trying to deploy a package to the wider network and having issues identfying what reg key, system file controls this option.

Just trying to enable a feature within the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Client so that users can install updates for installed software (via the Adobe Cloud) so that all software is up-to-date and doesn't rely on IT to update it.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

If you are creating a managed package then check the"Enable self-service install", "Allow non-admin to update and install apps" and "auto-update for end users" will allow the users to update the apps.

They can enable auto-update from the creative cloud desktop app under Preferences >> Apps tab.

I did create a managed package with the "Enable self-service install", "Allow non-admin to update and install apps" and "auto-update for end users" will allow the users to update the apps.

I am trying to enable the auto-update switch from the creative cloud desktop app under Preferences >> Apps tab - on behalf of the actual user (just in case they forgot to enable it themselves)
