Question

how to update creative cloud packages

I have created package installers for two different courses in our school. How do I push updates to the computers that have the software installed on them? Do I have to physically touch each machine and run updates or is there a way to have updates pushed to each machine? Please email me at <Removed by moderator>

Thanks in advance

There are a number of options regarding updates.

1. Users can install updates themselves using the CC Desktop Application, by having Adobe Update Manager check for updates regularly (enable this in your package) or by going to Help>Check for Updates. If desired you can ping an internal location rather that Adobe by using the Adobe Update Server Setup Tool. Creative Cloud Help | Using Adobe Update Server Setup Tool

2. Admin can use Remote Update Manager to remotely invoke the Adobe Update Manager on the client system. Creative Cloud Help | Using Adobe Remote Update Manager

3. Admin can build an update package with CCP and push this out using your preferred method. https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/packager/creative-cloud-packager.html

For further details check the 'Manage Updates' section here Creative Cloud Help | Packager
