How to update individually purchased adobe apps using JAMF/RUM.

We have many different applications, purchased by end-users individually and installed on mac systems. We user JAMF to manage all mac systems. The challenge is, we are not able to update the adobe apps. We have more than 20 different adobe apps and just creating a package for each app and push to end-user is not a quite feasible solution. I have gone through couple of post at jamf community and got to know that RUM can not be used to update the app which is installed/ managed/ purchased from an individual source. Hence please suggest a way to manage the adobe app and update the apps using jamf.

The automatic process is not available in any mode. If you are planning to use RUM then the admin has to push the updates, the user can download the updates from the internal server if you setup AUSST and if the licenses are managed by the end-users then they can use the creative cloud desktop app to update the application. Kindly elaborate on what "Individual managed apps" means.

Hello Suman,

If the user's machines are in the same org domain then you can use RUM to update the apps which are installed by them on their individual machines using Individual subscription.

As an admin, you can also create an update package from the admin console and push it using JAMF to update the apps installed on the user's machine.

Thank you for the response. I didn't get you, what you mean by the same org. We manage all the mac from jamf. Yes you're right we can package and we can update the apps. But we are looking for an automated way to update all the adobe apps.

From where I am coming is the below blog. The below blog says you can not use RUM for individual managed apps.

There are couple of scripts available to update the apps, but those scripts are currently not working. Is there any way we can update apps automatically without just making the packages and updating them.
